Dr. Camille Barnes
Dr. Camille Barnes is a native New Yorker, born and raised in the Bronx. She attended Wheaton College in Massachusetts and attained a bachelor’s degree in African Diaspora studies. While studying abroad during her junior year of college, she affirmed her love of veterinary medicine while volunteering at a community veterinary practice in Morocco.
Dr. Barnes returned to school to study veterinary technology at Mercy College in New York, and upon graduating, she worked as a Licensed Veterinary Technician prior to attending veterinary school. Dr. Barnes graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, and completed her clinical training at Tufts University.
She enjoys internal medicine, dermatology cases, and is interested in pursuing training in acupuncture. Her interests outside of veterinary medicine include traveling to new places, spending time with family, and eating delicious food. She lives with her husband Gregory, her son Taj and their two cats, Shawn and Marlon.
