Dr. Iyaesha Simmons
Originally from Texas, Dr. Simmons earned her undergraduate degrees in animal-science and biology at Tarleton State University. After spending a gap year working with local wildlife and the humane society, Dr. Simmons found herself in Arizona attending Midwestern University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. During her time at Midwestern, she was extensively involved with the school’s shelter medicine program and organizations focused on providing healthcare for pets in traditionally underserved areas. Through these programs, she came to appreciate the importance of client education and veterinary community outreach initiatives.
Dr. Simmons’ primary areas of interest are small animal preventative care, soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine.
In her free time, Dr. Simmons loves exploring New York restaurants and working with her Australian Cattle Dog rescue, Django.
