Dr. Giuseppina Bazan, a native New Yorker with a long standing history within the veterinary field, is excited to join our team at Village Vets of Long Island. She had dreamed of becoming a veterinarian since the age of four and her lifelong dream became fulfilled upon graduation from Ross University in the island of St. Kitts.
Dr. Bazan has always loved caring for animals since a very young age. She was always eager to foster strays and nurse orphaned/injured birds while growing up in Queens, New York. Her compassion and dedication is displayed through the care provided to her patients and their human counterparts.
Her career as a veterinarian started at the non-profit animal rescue organization North Shore Animal League. She enjoyed working in this atmosphere as the goal was to rescue and find homes for a thousands of orphaned animals, but after some time realized that she wanted to experience the human-animal bond connection. That’s when she decided to move into the private sector in Long Island, New York and Manhattan.
What does she enjoy most from her experience as a veterinarian? She enjoys the experience of providing long term care to patients; watching them grow and admiring the beautiful bond develop between her patients and their owners. She understands the importance of the human-animal bond and in making the lives of pets and their owners happy and healthy.
During her spare time she enjoys traveling, cooking, outdoor activities and spending time with her family and friends. Professional interests include small animal medicine, soft tissue surgery, general dentistry, nutrition, and preventative medicine.
During her spare time she enjoys quality time with her two and four legged family members, mambo dancing and DIY crafts.
