Dr. Ruth Lee is a native New Yorker; she grew up in Queens, went to the Bronx High School of Science, and obtained her undergraduate degree at the State University of New York at Geneseo. She moved on to pursue her DVM degree at Ross University of Veterinary Medicine, completing her clinical year at Oklahoma State University.
After graduation, Dr. Lee advanced her veterinary training by completing a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at the Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center of Westbury in Long Island, NY. After her internship, Dr. Lee transitioned to general practice and has been practicing high quality canine and feline preventative care, medicine and general soft tissue surgery.
She has enjoyed developing and maintaining relationships with her patients and their humans and is excited to join the team at Veterinary Care Group in Forest Hills. She has a soft spot for senior dogs, and is passionate about senior health care in her patients. Although right now, her hands are full with her puppy, Eggsy, and a little human on the way.
Outside of work, she loves to kick back, watch a movie, and eat junk food.
